Train Sim World: CSX Heavy Haul (BALDMAN) Free Download [2023]
Train Sim World: CSX Heavy Haul Introduction:
Train Sim World (TSW), a train simulation game series created by Dovetail Games, made its debut on July 24, 2018. This installment marked a significant development as it introduced a first-person mode, allowing players to explore the game world from a new perspective. This mode became essential for completing various in-game tasks such as refueling, navigation, performing different types of train driving services, and operating switches.
On April 20, 2023, Dovetail Games, the developer behind Train Sim World, underwent a change in ownership, with French game publisher Focus Entertainment acquiring the company.
Gameplay:
The third iteration of the game, simply titled "Train Sim World," was available on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It featured three routes: Great Western Express (London Paddington–Reading), Rapid Transit (Dessau Hbf–Markkleeberg-Gaschwitz), Northeast Corridor (New Rochelle–Newark Liberty International Airport), and Sand Patch Grade (exclusive to the Windows version).
The fourth version, "Train Sim World 2020," expanded the offering with four routes: Great Western Express, Long Island Rail Road (Penn Station to Hicksville, Hempstead Branch, Atlantic Terminal, Belmont), Main-Spessart Bahn (Aschaffenburg Hbf to Gemünden (Main)), and Northern Trans-Pennine (Manchester Victoria to Leeds route add-on). The 2020 edition also introduced a Digital Deluxe edition featuring a bonus route covering Caltrain's Peninsula Corridor (San Francisco 4th and King Street to San Jose Diridon route add-on).
On December 12, 2019, Dovetail Games released the East Coastway add-on, which included the Brighton to Eastbourne route and a branch route between Lewes and Seaford. This release also featured the Class 377/4 and the Class 66 locomotives. Additionally, various add-on routes and individual locomotives were offered as downloadable content (DLC).
The fifth version, "Train Sim World 2," was announced on June 9, 2020, with an original release date of August 6, 2020. This version introduced new features such as the Livery Editor and Scenario Designer. It included two new routes: Köln Hbf to Aachen Hbf (Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen) with the ICE 3M and Talent 2, and the London Underground 1972 Stock on the Bakerloo line. The game also included an updated version of the Sand Patch Grade route and offered compatibility with consoles, specifically PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Deluxe Edition of Train Sim World 2 included the East Coastway route as part of the Preserved Collection.
The Preserved Collection allowed players to import their previously owned Train Sim World and Train Sim World 2020 bundled routes and DLC into the new game without additional charges. Dovetail Games postponed the release from August 6 to August 20 to ensure compatibility with the Scenario Designer, though this feature wasn't compatible with the Livery Designer at the time. However, Livery Designer compatibility for the East Coastway route was added in a February 2021 update, with plans to include more routes in the future.
Dovetail Games shared their roadmap on August 18, outlining their future plans for game additions and the timeline for additional "Preserved Collection" add-ons.
Final Words:
Train Sim World 2 was officially released to the public on August 20, with subsequent DLC releases including routes like Haupstrecke München-Augsburg (München Hbf–Augsburg Hbf), LGV Méditerranée (Marseille–Avignon), Southeastern High Speed (St Pancras–Faversham), Clinchfield Railroad (Elkhorn–Dante), Lübeck–Hamburg railway (Hamburg–Lübeck), and Scottish City Commuter, as well as Isle of Wight (Ryde Pier Head–Shanklin) and Arosalinie (Chur–Arosa) from third-party developer Rivet Games.
